Once on the other side of the underwater passage, the player can surface and use the Pullcaster to move the crates. It needs to be pushed into the water for Aloy to come out, but when the crate is moved, two Spikesnouts will jump out and attack. After beating the machine, the box can be pushed into the water. Climbing the pole leads to a large open area with a spike and two Shell-Walkers. After defeating them, Aloy can move the box to the pillar on the south side of the room. Tiderippers weaponizes pure water and has many powerful attacks to watch out for. Aloy must stay on the move throughout the fight to avoid Ripper’s attacks. Once Ripper is defeated, Aloy will be able to cover the core in Cauldron KAPPA. The overlay core will unlock the machine overlay and show the exit.
KAPPA cauldrons and rewards at Horizon Forbidden West
After completing Cauldron KAPPA, there are eight machine overlays unlocked. However, half of them were damaged, so Aloy needed to finish crafting at base before he could use them in battle. Machine override allows Aloy to recruit machines as allies in battle, while Cauldron KAPPA unlocks overrides for some of the most powerful machines Forbidden Horizon.
