The upcoming true-crime film starring Keira Knightley, David Dastmalchian, Carrie Coon and more will explore the horrifying case of the 1960s Boston Strangler murder. The video is titled The Boston Stranger, will be released on Hulu on March 17, 2023. Matt Ruskin wrote and produced the film.
Hulu’s official description of the movie is as follows:
“A true crime drama about the Boston Stranger murder and writers Loretta Mclaughlin and Jean Cole who broke the story. As the killer claimed more and more victims, the two watched. the case, putting their lives in danger to find out the truth.”

1) From 1962 to 1964, the Boston Stranger terrorized the streets of the city.
Between June 14, 1962 and January 4, 1964, an evil serial killer known as “Boston Strangler” brutally murdered women. The killer, originally from Chelsea, Massachusetts, lived at 11 Florence Street Park in Malden, Massachusetts during the Boston serial killer. The killer massacred 13 women after being honorably discharged from the US Army, where he worked as a military cop.
2) All of the killer’s victims are single.
All of the women whose lives were cut short by the brutal killer were unmarried and between the ages of 19 and 85. Anna Slesers (55), Mary Sullivan (19), Mary Mullen (85), Joann Graff (23), Nina Nichols (68), Evelyn Corbin (57), Helen Blake (65), Beverly Samans (23), Ida Irga (75), Mary Brown (69), Jane Sullivan (67), Patricia Bissette (23) ) and Sophie Clark were among the participants (20).
Anna Slesers, who was found by authorities on June 14, 1962 at 77 Gainsborough Street in Boston, was his first victim. Mary Sullivan, the last victim of the infamous Boston serial killer, was found dead on January 4, 1964 at 44-A Charles Street in Boston.
3) The killer killed most of the victims after sexually assaulting them.
According to DNA evidence, most victims of the Boston Massacre were sexually assaulted and tortured before they were killed. The killer primarily kills his victims by suffocating them with the clothes in their home. There was no sign of breaking into the apartments of the victims, indicating that they were all acquaintances of the killer. According to reports, the oldest victim of the killer died of a heart attack. Two victims were brutally slashed to death, the other was brutally attacked.
4) In 1967, Albert DeSalvo confessed to being the Boston Massacre.
Albert DeSalvo, a Boston resident, was detained for sexual assault on February 25, 1967. During his incarceration, he readily admitted to being the infamous Boston Strangler. Although at the time there was no tangible evidence linking him to all 13 murders, the man’s surprising revelations led to him being labeled the accused killer.
5) Albert DeSalvo is murdered.
Despite the killer’s attorney’s request that the judge rule on insanity, Albert was still sentenced to life in prison. At this point, his defense attorney stated:
“My goal is to get the Stranger to a research institute so doctors can figure out what caused him to kill. Research can help stop other serial killers living among us, waiting for a spark to ignite, has been lost to society.”
On November 25, 1973, while in prison, he was killed by another inmate.
