Mike, the Mike Tyson biopic starring Harvey Keitel, will air on Hulu on August 25, 2022. The eight-part mini-series will follow the life of boxing giant Mike Tyson in and out of the ring. The film was conceived by creator and screenwriter Steven Rogers and features a unique cast. Among them are Trevante Rhodes from Moonlight, Laura Harrier from Hollywood and Harvey Keitel, star of the New Hollywood Movement and Martin Scorcese’s most beloved character.

What is Harvey Keitel famous for and who is he?
Harvey Keitel, a talented but underrated actor, is known for his “tough” and morally ambiguous roles. At the height of the New Hollywood movement, he appeared in six Martin Scorsese films. Keitel was born on May 13, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York City and trained with Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg and even HB Studio. He was cast in Martin Scorcese’s Who’s That Knocking At My Door while working on Broadway (1967). It was also the beginning of the director’s spectacular career, helping to define the future of the Hollywood business.
Harvey served in the Marines before pursuing an acting career. After being fired, he worked as a stenographer for the court for 10 to 12 years. After a successful performance in Scorcese’s first film, he returned to star in Mean Streets (1973).
He also starred in the 1974 films Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore and Taxi Driver (1976). The latter is still considered one of the greatest movies of all time. He has worked on some of the most successful films of all time. Among his many film works are The Duellists (1977), Thelma & Louise (1991), Reservoir Dogs (1992), Pulp Fiction (1994) and From Dusk Till Dawn (1996).
