Guy Ritchie Faces Lawsuit From Former ‘The Gentlemen’ Collaborator

Guy Ritchie is being sued by a former collaborator claiming his 2020 film The Knights rises forcefully from one of his scripts.

The acclaimed director was named in the lawsuit, which was filed in London’s High Court.

Mickey De Hara, who has worked with Guy on previous films, claims he was commissioned to write a script that would act as a sequel to 2008. Rock And Roll.

However, Guy reportedly rejected the project when it was finished. Now, Mickey claims that The Knights seems to be strongly inspired by his work.

In the lawsuit, Mickey alleges that he contacted Guy after the film’s release. The director reportedly claimed that they had tried to get in touch. He said he was not offered a writing credit on the film, but was offered one on a future project.

“I’ll try, but what I can do is give you credit for something in the future. Let me see what I can do. Honestly, we tried to reach you,” Guy reportedly said.

Mickey’s lawsuit makes it clear that he only wants “credit for his original work that has been used in The Knights without their consent and without the payment of the agreed remuneration.”
