Gurpreet Saini debuted as a lyricist with the Hindi song ‘Mitti Di Khushboo’ (2014), sung by Ayushmann Khurrana.
After this he wrote the lyrics of the song ‘Mera Yaar Fantastic’ for the film ‘Welcome 2 Karachi’ (2015). He wrote the song ‘Atrangi Yaar’ with lyricist Deepak Ramola for the film ‘Wazir’ (2016), which was sung by Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar. In 2019, Gurpreet wrote his first Punjabi song ‘Maa’, which was sung by Mika Singh.
Later, he wrote the lyrics of songs like ‘Tu Miliya’ (2019), ‘Asal Mein’ (2020), ‘Barishon Mein’ (2022), ‘Single Saiyaan’ (2022), ‘Tere Jaane Ke Baad’ (2023) . And ‘Chor De’ (2023). Gurpreet Saini, along with lyricist Anil Sethi, has written the lyrics of the hit song ‘Pasoori Nu’ from the film ‘Satyprem Ki Katha’ (2023).

In 2016, Gurpreet Saini made his debut in the Hindi film ‘Rocky Handsome’, in which he played the role of ‘Viju Dempo’.
After this he appeared in the Hindi film ‘Lashtam Pashtam’ (2018), in which he played the role of ‘Biman Ul Haq’. He was later seen in the Hindi films ‘Ginny Weds Sunny’ (2020) and ‘Tumse Na Ho Payega’ (2023).
