Greg Monroe’s professional career began when the Detroit Pistons selected him with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2010 NBA draft. On July 6, 2010, he went on to sign with the group. He made his NBA debut on October 30, 2010 against the Chicago Bulls, coming off the bench to record 2 points and 3 rebounds in 7 minutes. Additionally, he started the first game of his career on December 10 against the Minnesota Timberwolves and finished with eight points, fifteen rebounds and one block in 35 minutes of play.
