Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito talks about living with his parents and reveals why he came home

Tommy DeVito opens up about living with his parents!

The 25-year-old quarterback just stopped playing college baseball last year and is currently the starting quarterback for his hometown team, the New York Giants.

Tommy has been taking the field as a starter this season after both Daniel Jones and substitute Tyrod Taylor were out with injuries.

In a recent interview, it was revealed that Tommy lives at home with his parents in his childhood home in New Jersey, which is very close to where the Giants practice and play home games.

Find out why he decided to return home…

Although he is still a rookie in the NFL, the footballer decided to return home because it is useful and more convenient.

“For me it was a no-brainer,” he told ESPN. “Everything I need is in the house. The decision was made because this level of football is stressful for a rookie, especially from the quarterback position. There’s a lot going on, a lot of meetings. So everything that is not football is handled by my family.”

“I don’t have to worry about doing laundry, what I’m having for dinner, chicken chops, and everything that awaits me when I get there,” Tommy added. “My mom still makes my bed. Everything is handled by me. Honestly, I don’t even know if she could find a place closer to here than where I live. It takes 12 minutes to arrive.”

His teammate Justin Pugh even said it was smart of him to do that!

“That’s the biggest thing. You know what, smart one? he shared. “Saving his money. Genius! That’s the only thing he would say from a financial standpoint. Your mom helps you wash, she makes sure you arrive on time, without distractions, amazing.”
