Barbz responds to Grammys after Minaj snub
Grammy night began with controversy after a blunder on social media. The awards show’s official Twitter account tweeted that Nicki Minaj’s song “Barbie World” was announced as the winner of Best Rap Song of the Year. But she didn’t win. The real winner was Killer Mike for “Scientists and Engineers.”
Since Minaj has one of the strongest fan bases in the music industry, they strongly supported their favorite artist. They got the hashtag #Scammys trending on Twitter.
Drake sends a strong message about the Grammys
The Grammys have earned a reputation as the biggest night in music. But not everyone is a fan of awards. Before Sunday’s ceremony, multi-platinum artist Drake slammed the Grammys. He noted that the committee “does not dictate m…”
“The only thing you amazing artists remember about this show is not the facts, it’s just the opinion of a group of people whose names are being kept secret (literally, you can Google it),” he said.

Drake had four Grammy nominations this year. The four nominations were for his collaborative album with 21 Savage titled Her Loss. But the hip-hop duo lost in all four categories. Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.
