The best of film and television were honored tonight at the Gotham Awards 2023which started the awards season with a bang.
Some of the biggest stars in entertainment were in attendance Monday night (November 27) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
In the past, Gotham only celebrated independent films, but they have removed the requirement that all projects be made for less than $35 million. Now, some of this year’s contenders include big-budget films like Barbie.
The awards ceremony also took home acting categories differentiated by gender, opting for a Best Leading Performance category and a Best Supporting Performance category with 10 nominees in each.
