Just a couple of months after welcoming his sixth child, Gordon Ramsay is sharing his thoughts on having more children.
During a recent interview with PEOPLE, Ramsay talked about his 4-year-old son Oscar and asked him if he would have another younger brother. “This morning, Oscar said, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice if [recently born] ‘Jesse and I had a little sister?’” Ramsay recalled. “And I spit out my Cheerios. So yeah, I had to get up from the table and walk away.”
Along with Jesse and Oscar, Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana have four other children. They are Megan, the twins Jack and Holly and Matilda. The oldest children are in their 20s.
Despite her initial reaction to Oscar’s comment, Ramsay said having more children is not out of the question. “I didn’t wait to see Tana’s reaction,” he admitted. I literally coughed my Cheerios all over the table. So yeah, listen, who knows, right?
Gordon Ramsay’s wife previously spoke about ‘stressful’ anticipation of Jesse’s birth
Before the “stressful” anticipation of Jesse’s birthday, Gordon Ramsay’s wife Tana wrote about the loss of their son Rocky in 2016. She shared a snap of the Ramsay family celebrating Megan’s 18th birthday.
“A happy photo of us celebrating Megan’s 18th birthday. I was just under 20 weeks pregnant,” Tana explained. “What we didn’t know was that a few days later I would be holding our little Rocky, who was born with a strong heart rate, but very few survived.”
Gordon Ramsay’s wife also said that losing Rocky seven years earlier felt like it was yesterday. She shared a photo of the tattoo in honor of Rocky. “We all miss you every day,” she continued. “We love you, Rocky, forever in our hearts.”
While announcing Jesse’s birth, Tana wrote: “It’s been an agonizing 9 months but we made it and have been blessed with this little bundle. The Ramsay family is definitely complete. Jesse James Ramsay we love you very much.”
Ramsay spoke with PEOPLE about Jesse’s birthday. “We are still very respectful and incredibly sorry for losing Rocky,” he said. “And that was a significant moment in the family’s life. So this time we acted with caution and were blessed.”
Gordon Ramsay then said that Jesse is bringing the family closer together. “And then that level of responsibility again is even more exciting. “I want to be six times a better father than I was twenty-five years ago to Megan.”
Ramsay added that Jesse also keeps him younger.
