Glen Powell opens up about the chemistry between him and Nobody but you co-star Sydney Sweeney and how dating rumors emerged after her first promotional appearance for the film.
The two actors attended CinemaCon in Las Vegas in April 2023, just after wrapping filming on the romantic comedy. Fans immediately noticed how the actors looked like a couple and, days later, Glen’s separation from his girlfriend Gigi Paris was confirmed.
While chatting with Business Insider, Glen was asked about that press appearance. The interviewer said, “Since you saw the movie, I feel like you guys decided, like in the movie, to act like you were a couple.”

Glen responded: “I’ll pretty much give Sydney all the credit for this. I don’t have the mental capacity to pull off something like that, but she’s very smart. She is very smart. And she looks, Sydney and I have real chemistry; I had a wonderful journey with her on this. But in terms of actual dating and being together? [Laughs.]”
Glen was asked if the chemistry on the Las Vegas stage caused him headaches.
“Well, look, the only reason it was harder for me to lean into that stuff was because I was going through a very real breakup in the middle of a promotional tour. I was with someone I really loved and cared about and I was trying to make sense of a lot of things,” Glen responded. “It was a lot easier for Sydney to lean into something like that because she’s in a wonderful, very committed relationship and she’s so happy. So it was a little more difficult for me.”
Sydney recently made some unusual comments about her fiancé.
