In 2020, Geeta made headlines for her alleged connection with the Sandalwood drugs scandal. As a part of the investigation, he was summoned for questioning by the Internal Security Department (ISD) on 22 September 2020. After interrogating Geeta for five hours, the ISD officials gave her a clean chit.
