Faux Cover Photo
The Indian actor Kushal Tandon once posted a picture of Gauahar with the Stardust magazine logo. Many people started speculating that Gauahar was featured as the cover girl for that month’s magazine. However, it turned out that the image was fake. As a result, the officials from Stardust magazine released a statement clarifying that Gauahar’s Instagram post with the Stardust logo had nothing to do with them. They reached out to Gauahar to ask her to remove the post, but she was hesitant because she was afraid that the media would make negative speculations about her. The magazine officials even said that they would take legal action against the person who used their logo without permission, which goes against their company policy. Later, in a video, Gauahar explained the situation and made everything clear. She said,
It’s very unprofessional when certain media outlets use my personal conversations with them as quotes. It’s saddening. The picture itself doesn’t show that it was a cover of the magazine they talked about. They have also mentioned that they will take legal action against the people who made it, so please stay calm!”

Wardrobe Malfunction
In 2006, in the fashion show Fashion Week in Mumbai, Gauahar Khan was walking the ramp as one of the runway models. On the third day of the event, she wore a golden top and a black skirt designed by fashion designer Lascelles Symmons. While walking down the ramp, her skirt tore in the middle. However, she quickly covered it with her hand and continued her walk. Some media sources speculated that it was a planned act, and she did it intentionally to gain publicity.

Slapped in a Reality Show
In 2014, while hosting the Hindi reality TV show India’s Raw Star finale, Gauahar Khan was slapped by a man named Akil Mallik. He also made inappropriate comments about her clothing and said that as a Muslim woman, she shouldn’t wear short clothes. However, in an interview, Akil admitted that it was actually a planned publicity stunt and shared his side of the story. According to Akil, he had met Gauahar two days before the incident, and she had proposed the idea of creating controversy by slapping her during the reality show. Gauahar had promised him a significant role in Salman Khan‘s movie ‘Dabangg 3’ as a reward. When asked why he changed his perspective and revealed the truth, Akil explained that Gauahar had not kept her promise, and he felt the need to come forward and share the real story with the world.
