Gangavva’s actual age is not known as he does not remember his date of birth and there is no record of his age. According to different media sources, his age is between 58 to 62 years. He was born in Lambadipalli village of Telangana. He is a school dropout and has studied till first class.

Her parents died when she was very young. Her grandparents married her to a local village boy at the age of five. By the age of 26, she had given birth to four children; Three daughters and one son. Her husband was an alcoholic and physically abused her and died a few years ago. One of his daughters died at an early age, and Gangavva has eight grandchildren.

Born in a small village and after marriage she started working in the fields. He worked as a porter and made beedis to earn his income. In an interview he said,
Earlier I only knew how to work hard in the fields, plough, cut grass and take care of my family. At one point, I even started working as a porter and making beedis to earn a good income.”

He used to upload videos related to village culture and daily routine of rural families. When Srikanth was looking for an old woman for his YouTube videos, he asked Gangavva to act in his video.

She starred in the reaction video, ‘Village Internet Problems’ in 2017, which went viral on YouTube. She continued appearing in various videos and started getting more and more views and subscribers.
In 2019, Gangavva received a Gold Play Button from YouTube for reaching one million subscribers.

- When he was asked in an interview how social media has changed his life, he replied,
If we believe in our strength then anything can happen. We must continue to strongly wish that this happens. I believed in the possibility that I could act. I love being in front of the camera, I love acting. It feels good to know that people from all over India are watching what I do. I went to a theater when I was really young. we went to see Muthyala Muggu In a cinema hall in our village. After that I hardly watched any film. I am a farmer and I do not have a television set. Now when I stay with Srikanth, I watch movies sometimes. But I watch the laptop more because I need to watch my videos to improve myself.
