We just learned a lot about the classic Disney movie. Frozen!
Believe it or not, the original blockbuster hit theaters 10 years ago. In honor of the special anniversary, Vanity Fair brought together stars including Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Josh Gad and Jonathan Groff to remember the beginning of the hit franchise.
In the process, we learned a lot about how the final film we know and love was different from the original plot. In fact, the original film even had different actresses reading for Elsa and Anna (the characters played by Idina and Kristen).
We also learned that Frozen It was not the first Disney film for which neither actress auditioned. Interestingly, they were both competing for the same role in another House of Mouse hit.
At the end of the interview, the cast also reflected on John Travolta’s now-iconic mistake at the Oscars when he introduced Idina as Adele Dazeem.
