Former Friday night lights Co-stars Connie Britton and Jesse Plemons team up again for a new Netflix series, day zero.

Robert De Niro will star in and executive produce the show, which also marks his first television series!

The series is an upcoming six-episode conspiracy thriller also starring Lizzy Caplan and Joan Allen.

In Friday night lights, Connie played the wife of the show’s main character, high school football coach Eric Taylor. Jesse played Landry Clarke, a nerdy freshman.

Friday night lights it was about a high school varsity football team and aired from 2006 to 2011. It was based on the book of the same name.

day zero follows Robert De Niro as George Mullen, a hugely popular but complicated former US president who comes out of retirement to head a commission tasked with investigating a devastating global cyberattack.

Connie will play a smart and astute political agent who was Mullen’s former chief of staff, while Jesse will play a former Mullen “body man” looking to return to the national stage alongside Mullen.

Robert De Niro also has a new comedy with Sebastian Maniscalco and the trailer was released recently.
