Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Sued by Ex-Aide for Sexual Harassment

Andrew Cuomo is being accused of sexual misconduct again and this time it’s coming from his former executive assistant, Brittany Commisso.

Commisso this week filed a lawsuit against Cuomo for sexual harassment. She alleges that while she was working for former New York Governor Cuomo in 2020, he subjected her to “humiliating and degrading tasks, hugging, kissing, sexual touching of the buttocks, and forced touching of the breasts.”

An incident took place inside the Executive Mansion in Albany, where he allegedly touched her.

According to the NY Post, Commisso claims that when she rejected “his attempts to engage in sexual acts” and reported him on March 8, 2021, then-Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul “demoted” her from her executive assistant position.

The lawsuit claims that the former Hochul “also removed her from the main office of the Executive Chamber and assigned her to the degrading task of answering phones in the Lieutenant Governor’s office until she was transferred to other offices, which included loss of overtime, ostracism, given little or no work, degradation and loss of professional opportunities and advancement”

Statement from Cuomo’s lawyer

However, Rita Glavin, Cuomo’s attorney, said in a statement Friday that “Ms. Commisso’s claims are demonstrably false, which is why the Albany District Attorney dismissed the case two years ago after an exhaustive investigation.” . Ms Commisso’s transparent attempt to grab cash will fail. We look forward to seeing her in court.”

The commissioner’s truth

Commisso is not backing down, he stated: “I know the truth. He knows the truth. “I know what happened and so does he.”
