Drew’s lawsuit is made possible by the Adult Survivors Act, which allows victims over the age of 18 at the time of the assault to take legal action.
Speaking to the New York Times, Drew explained that he was taking steps to “seek some degree of accountability.”
In court documents, she explained that Los Angeles’ retaliation included “embarrassing her in front of others or being abrupt and unprofessional.” Additionally, “promotion and recording budgets were drastically reduced or frozen entirely. “Song demos and artist auditions were roundly rejected.”
One artist that Drew alleges he was prevented from working with was John Legend.
LA was accused of harassment by a former assistant in 2017. He has yet to respond to the latest lawsuit against him.
