Foo Fighters announce new drummer one year after Taylor Hawkins’ death

The Foo Fighters have found a new drummer to join the band!

The announcement came during his livestream event, “Foo Fighters: Preparing Music for Concerts,” which showcased his upcoming 11th studio album. but here we are.

It was there that Josh Freese was introduced as the band’s new drummer, following the death of Taylor Hawkins.

Josh isn’t exactly new to the music scene and has plenty of experience having played with Nine Inch Nails, The Offspring, Sting and Weezer.

He was also one of the musicians who performed during the Taylor Tribute 2022.

However, while Josh was revealed as the new drummer to appear on the band’s new album, it is unconfirmed if he will join Foo Fighters permanently or for live performances.

If he were to join the group permanently, he would join Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee.

The band recently spoke about what the future of the band will look like.
