As a redshirt freshman at Florida in 2017, he was the starting quarterback. As a redshirt sophomore in 2018, he was once again named the starting quarterback.

He announced in December 2019 that he would skip his final year at the University of Florida and move to the University of Arkansas. In the 2020 season, he was appointed one of four captions for the Arkansas Razorbacks.
He was also named the Razorbacks’ starting quarterback. His professional football career began on May 3, 2021, when he signed as an undrafted free agent with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League.
