Ayo has been dating actor and writer Colin Burgess for several years, although they have been very private about their relationship. In 2021, she shared a selfie of them together for Valentine’s Day.

Fans on Twitter were upset to learn that Ayo was taken in real life and some of the comments were a little excessive.
Fire Island Actor Joel Kim Booster, a friend of Colin, took to Twitter to defend him amid the “bizarre” comment.
“I’ve known Ayo’s boyfriend for almost a decade and he’s a really nice, smart, funny guy and you all are acting really weird. Log out and make a real human friend, I beg you,” he tweeted, although the tweet has since been deleted.
