Joelle Joanie ‘JoJo’ Siwa is an American dancer, singer, and social media star who rose to fame for her appearance on the second season of A.bby final dance competition. JoJo’s performance earned her a spot on Abby Lee Miller’s dance moms. She spent two seasons on the show before leaving to find other ventures.

JoJo Siwa was born on May 19, 2003 to Jessalynn Siwa and Dr. Tom Siwa. He grew up with his older brother, Jayden, in Omaha, Nebraska.
jessalynn said Time who recognized JoJo’s star potential from an early age. She claimed that JoJo was only one and a half years old when Jessalynn discovered her love for her acting: “She just liked being on stage and everyone liked watching her.”
With Jessalynn’s help, JoJo started acting when she was 2 years old. Jessalynn was descended from dance enthusiasts and ran a dance school. Jessalynn received criticism from other moms for exploiting JoJo, but JoJo didn’t see it that way. jojo said Today:
“She is not a stage mom. A lot of people think my mom is crazy, and a lot of people think that she’s like, ‘Oh, you’ve got to do a YouTube video and you’ve got to do it right. [She’s] literally the opposite of that. She says, ‘JoJo, turn off your computer and stop working.’ Hers is that she just wants me to be happy.
Jessalynn even supports JoJo’s wish to have surgery if she stops acting. “She would really be all about him,” JoJo said.
JoJo’s parents gave up their careers to work on JoJo’s entertainment team.
When JoJo came to earth, her mother was a professional dance instructor and her father was a chiropractor. JoJo’s success forced Jessalynn and Tom to reconsider their career choices and they now work for JoJo in different positions. Jessalynn is almost always alongside JoJo, while Tom plays a role behind the scenes.
jessalynn said USA Today that managing JoJo can be overwhelming, considering her legions of fans and ever-expanding business empire.
