Eva Longoria has bad news for fans of her hit series Desperate housewives: It is unlikely that a reboot will occur.

He explained why any sort of meeting was unlikely to happen, revealing his own conflicting thoughts on the idea.
Eva also weighed in on what she thought her character Gabby would do in 2023 and talked about a big fear she had about the show years ago.

During an interview with Access Hollywood, Eva said she would be “the first to sign up for the reboot,” according to EW. “I miss Gabby so much,” she added. “I miss being Gabby Ruiz.”
However, he admitted his doubts since they had already done a lot on the show.
“We completely extracted those characters. There was no one on the street to sleep with. I slept with everyone. I was like, ‘Uh, what do we do now?’ 20 years ago we were saying something about ageism and being a housewife, and it was shocking,” she said. “There are many things that we said and did that were innovative, and I don’t think they are now. Now it’s like the norm.”
She is not alone in those thoughts. Eva added that creator Marc Cherry was not interested in returning to Desperate housewives. “He feels there isn’t, why now? For the sake of a reset, he wouldn’t. He feels like, ‘What do I have to say to these characters that we haven’t fully mined yet,’” he explained.
While a reboot sounds highly unlikely, Eva had thoughts about where Gabby would be if fans ever got a chance to see her again. “She would be an influencer for sure,” she opined.
The actress also admitted a great fear she had about the show before its premiere.
“I thought, ‘This will never get picked up. It’s so different,’” she shared. “We were not a comedy. We were not a drama. I thought I hope people get it, and apparently they did.”
