The Bandit Set Pistol and Boots can be obtained from the Gatekeeper Gostock near the main entrance to the Storm Veil. However, the Skullcap and Black Feather of the Retriever is located in the Sage’s Cave, a dungeon south of the Boiling River in the Altus Plateau. The site can be reached by crossing the Ruin-Strewn Cliffs at the northeastern tip of the Liurnia of the Lakes. Alternatively, those taking the Dectus Cable Car to the Altus Plateau can also descend from the western slopes near Mount Erde Tree View to reach the Sage’s Cave. However, for those visiting the area for the first time, beware of the Elder Dragon Lansseax descending from the sky.

The interior of Sage’s Cave is unusually dark, so Tarnished should bring a flashlight or lantern to get inside. Also, the cave has significantly more ghost walls in the tunnel than the regular dungeon Elden’s ring, so adventurers should check any location with a noticeable amount of player messages. From the Land of Grace, go down to the original tunnel and hit the Ghost Wall, revealing the first passage. When you reach a small waterfall, turn right and attack the wall to remove another ghost wall. Continue along the path until you reach the campfire guarded by the skeleton militia.
Continue through the tunnel until you reach the brazier ledge behind the waterfall. Turn left, jump over the ridge and continue to the tunnel at the left end. Tap the wall to open another hidden passage leading to a secret room with a skull mask and black raptor feathers Elden’s ring.
