Similar to Ancestral Spirits in The Ofra River Elden’s ring, it is only after the Defiler has burned all the pillars of fire in the Eternal City of Norkron that the Emperor’s Ancestral Spirits can be encountered. Likewise, the Emperor’s Ancestral Soul is an optional boss, but many adventurers may want to challenge this legendary beast for its unique meme.
The location of Nokron, the emperor’s ancestor, is the upper part of the map of the river Siofra in the Ring of Elden. However, the area is inaccessible until Defiler defeats Radan, Kalid’s Scourge demigod. When this important feat is completed, a cutscene of a star falling to the Limgrave will play, showing that the road to Nokron is open. Visitors can head south of Mistwood in East Limgrave to find the giant crater that leads to the dungeon. Once they arrive, they need to head to the ancestral forest in the north to face the emperor’s ancestral spirits. However, they had to cross a large overpass guarded by Mimic Tears to continue. This boss can be easily defeated by removing all equipment before the battle and re-equipping it after the battle begins. The player can then begin the quest to summon the boss and light the brazier.
There are six pillars of fire in Nokron, which must be ignited during the Emperor Ancestor boss battle. The first memorial is located next to the main road in the Forest of the Ancestors that connects to the overpass. Watch out for two Theravada Believers patrolling the streets. Next, turn right and enter the forest. Finally, go around the large stone column to find a second brazier located near the cliff.

Continuing west on the way back, you’ll meet two other ancestral devotees and an ancestral devotee singing atop the mountain next to the third pillar of fire. You can ignore the shaman by climbing the slope behind the brazier and making a fire undetected. Continue down the path to find Nokron’s fourth pillar of fire on a small platform. The platform will be packed with forest creatures and followers mesmerized by the shaman’s song Eldon’s Ring. While it’s possible to sneak around the stage to reach the pillars, braziers have to deal with crowds, meaning enemies become hostile when the player lights a fire.
The next pillar of fire is to the northwest of the forest, past the broken overpass and near the flooded wreckage. Two crazy rats will protect the brazier. The sixth and final brazier is hidden behind a large rock at the southern edge of the clearing. After all memorials are lit, the dimmed ones can be interacted with the deer carcass in the east corner of Zu Lin to unlock Emperor Zu Ling’s boss battle. Eldon’s Ring.
