Ed shared that he had been given the Eminem album, Marshall Mathers L.P.when he was only 9 years old, and while rapping in rhythm with the lyrics, he found that he stuttered less.
“Learning that record and rapping it one after the other cured my stutter,” he said on the show.
Ed also opened up about his unique bond with Eminem, after they first met in 2017.
“I think it’s different with Eminem because he gets pretty lonely, he doesn’t see or know a lot of people,” he says. “I’ve known him for six years and we’ve done three songs together, I’ve played with him twice on stage. He’s another person that I really relate to, as he still lives in his hometown and has his ecosystem around him.”
Ed previously spoke about his stutter in his documentary, the sum of everything.
