“An interesting survey was conducted and it really touched me. “I was really impressed and really honored,” he said of a 2021 poll that said 46% of American adults would vote for him. There was another poll that said 58% of Americans would like to see him as the next president.

“I’ll share this with you: At the end of the year in 2022, I received a visit from the parties asking me if I was going to run and if I could run,” Dwayne revealed.

“It was a big problem and it came out of nowhere,” he added. “It was one after another, and they brought out that survey, and they also brought out their own deep research that would show that if I ever go down that path [I’d be a real contender]. It was all very surreal because that has never been my goal. My goal has never been to be in politics. In fact, there are many things about politics that I hate.”

This isn’t the first time Dwayne has talked about running for president. In October 2022, he shared that he wasn’t interested because he was more focused on being a father, and that still remains.

“With my daughter Simone, 22, we like to say that we grew up together,” she shared on the podcast. “I know what it’s like to be in an occupation that took me away. As a full-time professional wrestler, I was wrestling 230 dates a year for years when she came into the world. So I know what it’s like to have that separation and not be there for birthdays, for pickups, for deliveries, and everything else. And I don’t want that for my little ones now.”

“That was one of my main discussions with the parties, who in the end said: ‘Yes, but the others have done it that way,’” he added.
