Drew Barrymore stands in solidarity with writers amid the ongoing strikes in Hollywood.
The 48 year old man The Drew Barrymore Show The host was speaking ahead of the premiere of the fourth season of her hit daytime talk show.
“I made the decision to stay away from the MTV, film and television awards because I was the presenter and had a direct conflict with the issue of the strike, which was the studios, the streamers, film and television,” she began.

“It was also the first week of the strike, so I did what I thought was appropriate at the time to stand in solidarity with the writers. And to be clear, our talk show ended on April 20, so we never had to shut it down.”
“However, I am also making the decision to return for the first time in this strike for our show, which may have my name on it, but is bigger than just me,” he went on to say.
“I own this election. We abide by not discussing or promoting movies and television shows of any kind. We launched live in a global pandemic. “Our show was created for sensitive times and has only worked through what the real world is going through in real time,” Drew wrote.
“I want to be there to provide what writers do so well, which is a way to bring us together or help us make sense of the human experience. I hope for a solution for everyone as soon as possible. We’ve been through some tough times since we first went on air. And so I step forward to begin season 4 once again with astute humility.”
