Dr. Shahzaman Sardar was born in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his schooling from The City School-PAF Chapter Karachi, Pakistan. Later, he studied MBBS from The Dow University of Health Sciences Karachi. After this he went to America and obtained the degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) there.

Shahzaman and Nida Firdous became friends after meeting at Shahzaman’s clinic, where Nida had come for gold infusion treatment. While Shahzaman was immediately attracted to Nida, he took his time to develop feelings for her. They remained friends for a significant period, during which time Nida made it clear that she was not interested in casual relationships and would prefer to marry the next person she would be involved with. It was a surprise for Nida when Shahzaman proposed her.

Shahzaman began his career as an intern under Dr. Freeha, an oncologist (a doctor who treats cancer) at UC San Diego in the United States. He worked there for two months from October 2018 to November 2018 and learned radiation oncology. In December 2018, he joined Endocrinology Clinic in Hamilton, New Jersey, USA, where he trained under Dr. Rizvi in Endocrinology (a medical discipline concerned with the role of hormones). From January 2019 to February 2019, he worked as a Supervisor in Neurosurgery at Saint Louis University Missouri, USA under Dr. Kemp and Dr. Abdul Rauf.
