Dove Cameron has teamed up with Diplo for a new song!
The 44-year-old DJ and producer uses his name Thomas Wesley for his country music persona and also worked with country music legend Sturgill Simpson for the song “Use Me (Brutal Hearts).”
Sturgill uses the name Johnny Blue Skies for the song, but does not appear in the music video, so Oscar-winning actor Sean Penn lip-synches him.
In the video, Dove appears as a nightclub singer with Sean and Diplo as endorsers.
“To prepare for this new Thomas Wesley project, I returned to my father’s house in Florida and spent six months learning guitar, getting in touch with nature, working on his boat when the shrimp ran on a full moon in the park of the rolling house”. . Diplo said in a statement. “I tried on a lot of cowboy hats. I rode a lot of motorcycles and horses basically reflected in my whole life and career and connection to this music… there was a lot. It all started in the swamps where I grew up. This is the biggest single job I’ve ever done, I promise you.”
