Domani Jackson attributes much of her success to the support and mentorship of her parents. During his journey, they were his most important and reliable support system. Randy and Melanie, Jackson’s parents, played an important role in shaping his personality. Domani Jackson is an American football cornerback who is currently a sophomore in college studying communications.
At Mater Dei High School, Jackson participated in two sports: football and track. He also tied the California state record in the 100 meters with a time of 10.25 seconds. The 20-year-old, ranked as the No. 4 prospect nationally by 247 Sports, chose USC over many other offers. In his debut season with the Trojans, the cornerback played in seven games.

Domani Jackson was born to Randy and Melanie Jackson in Santa Ana, California, USA. Interestingly, the Jacksons are originally from Youngstown, Ohio, not Southern California. Jackson’s parents, Randy and Melanie, were born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio. Randy first went to Southern California after joining the Marine Corps, which led to a move to Pennsylvania State College, where Domani began his football career.
They then spent four years living in Hawaii before returning to Southern California. Domani’s father was stationed at Camp Pendleton when he was 12 and enrolled him in the Monarchs for Marines youth camp. Domani has an older sister, Darian Jackson, who went to Great Oak High School.
Committed to USC Trojans
Jackson chose USC over Michigan and Alabama in December 2021. The Trojans were ultimately chosen because of one key criteria. Jackson said in an interview, “Honestly if Donte [Williams] I didn’t return, I would go to Alabama. “That’s my type; he’s been recruiting me since the eighth grade and I believe in him.”
He continued,
“He is more than just a coach for me; he was also a mentor and someone I could talk to about anything. He’s a wonderful coach, but it’s so much more than that, and having him around is a key reason why I signed with USC.”
He then made his college debut on the road against Oregon State. Despite missing most of his senior season at cornerback at Mater Dei High due to a season-opening knee injury, Johnson was named to the PrepStar Dream Team in 2021. Additionally, during his junior year he was named to the MaxPreps All-State First Team in spring 2021 and first team All-Trinity League.
