accused of damaging a government vehicle
In 2023, the actress was accused of damaging the official vehicle of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Hyderabad named Rahul Hegde. According to some reports, the actress hit the officer’s car with her car, following which the officer’s driver lodged a complaint against her and her close friend David at the Jubilee Hills police station under IPC sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 279 (driving or riding at a high speed on a public way). In an interview, DSP Rahul Hegde claimed that the actress used to block his way with her car. He further added that he requested her several times not to do so, but the actress ignored him. Talking about this in an interview, he said,
My driver parked the car in my parking lot for the night. Later it was found that my car was damaged on the right side. Sometimes I have to attend emergency duty. But they (accused) used to block the way of my car with their four wheeler. I requested him several times not to block the road but to no avail. They regularly argued with my staff, watchman and other residents.
However, the actress claimed that the officer was misusing his power by making false allegations against her.
