Her father, Ashwini Kumar Nagpal, was an actor, and her mother, Sharda Panchotiya, was a producer and actress. His grandfather was the actor and director, Vithaldas Panchotiya. She has one sister, Aarti Nagpal or Aakriti Nagpal, who is an actress.
Relationships, Husband and Children
In 1997, she married Jeet Upendra, and after ten years of their marriage, the couple divorced in 2007. Deepshikha has two children with him; A daughter Vidhika Upendra and a son Vivaan Upendra.
In 2012, she married actor and model Keshav Arora. Their relationship lasted only for four years and Deepshikha and Keshav got divorced in 2016.

She debuted as an actress with the Bollywood film ‘Betaaj Badshah’ (1994). She played the character of ‘Neelam Pari’ in Doordarshan’s TV serial ‘Dastan e Hatimtai’ (1996). She came into limelight with the popular TV serial ‘Shaktimaan’ (1997), in which she played the double role of Paroma and Sherali.
In 1997, she gained immense popularity with her role ‘Bindya’ in the superhit Bollywood film ‘Koyla’.

In 2016, she had filed an FIR against her ex-husband Keshav Arora, in which she had said that Keshav had physically abused her. In an interview he said,
Yes this is true. We tried our best to live together but things did not work out between us. We are not living together. I don’t want to go into details of what went wrong. There is no market for your sorrows in this world so never advertise them. All I can say is that I have no complaints to live with, it is possible that if I say something then people will feel bad so I do not want to make any comment.
