Samarpan Lama started dancing in 2020 without enrolling in any professional course or taking the help of any instructor. Instead, she opted to learn from international dancers on YouTube and replicate their moves. Subsequently, he showcased his skills by performing on popular songs and sharing his videos on various social media platforms including TikTok and Instagram. These platforms helped her gain recognition and establish herself as a dancer.
In 2021, she auditioned for the reality TV show ‘Dance Competition’ of OSR Reality, a Nepali TV channel, but was rejected in the first round. Then, he moved from Pune to Mumbai after taking a break from his formal education.

India’s Best Dancer Season 3
In early 2023, Samarpan auditioned for the SonyLIV reality TV show ‘India’s Best Dancer’, however, he was rejected in the digital round. Later, he got a call from the selection committee who wanted to see his performance live so he went there and after performing on stage, he was selected for the next round of the show.

Samarpan continued to perform well and due to this he got the title of ‘King of Contemporary’ from the show’s judge Terence Lewis. One fan moment of her life was when Remo D’Souza gifted her a pair of shoes in honor of her dancing talent. She even got a chain from Terence Lee and the show’s judge Geeta Kapoor put a black bindi on her foot to protect her from the evil eye.

Lama was declared the winner of season 3 of the show at the grand finale of the show on 30 September 2023. The finale episode included one of the best dancers of Bollywood, Govinda. Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon were also seen promoting their film Ganpath. The choreographer of Samarpan was Pooja Khanduja who won a sum of Rs. While Samarpan Lama won an amount of Rs 5 lakh. 1.5 million.

When he was asked how he would utilize the prize money of Rs. 15 lakh, he replied that he would give half the amount to his parents and also buy a bike for his father. He has spent very little time with his father as he has been working abroad for the last 17 years and visits the family once in 2-3 years. By providing financial support, Lama hopes that his father will return to India and reunite with the family. He is confident that he is now able to support the family.
