Daya Nayak was born on Wednesday, 20 July 1966 (age 56 years; as in 2022) in Yenhole village, Karkala taluk of Udupi district, Karnataka. His zodiac sign is Cancer. He studied in a Kannada medium school built by his grandfather till 7th standard. In 1979, at the age of 13, after his father mysteriously disappeared, he came to Mumbai to earn money for his family. To earn money, he worked as a waiter in a restaurant for eight years. Daya wanted to continue his studies and seeing Daya’s dedication, the owner of the restaurant where he worked enrolled him in a night school, Pahari Municipal School, Goregaon. After completing his graduation, he worked as a supervisor with a plumber. Radha Nayak Government High School at Yenhole
In 2000, he started the construction of a school in his native village Yenhole, Mangalore, in memory of his mother. Funds for the construction of the school were collected through donations from Bollywood celebrities in the name of Radha Nayak Educational Trust.
