Da’Vine Joy Randolph Opens Up About a “Near Death” Experience She Had!

On Friday (January 19), The remains the star appeared in The Graham Norton Show and recalled a crisis at a dim sum restaurant where she and her friend were having lunch.

When the actress heard screams and commotion, she ran to the kitchen and started grabbing knives.

“I had my back to the door and I heard this whole thing like… commotion,” Da’Vine recalled on the show. “And I see people running in, so my brain thinks, ‘Is this a flash mob?’”

The audience laughed when she said she realized those aren’t “in style” anymore.

Then Da’Vine noticed his best friend was gone and a lot of people started screaming. He went to the kitchen thinking, “They have knives. Good ones.” So, she collected several.

“Basically, there was a jewelry store right outside the mall,” he said on the show. “There was a crush and a robbery… They were running through the mall with the reward and with weapons.”
