In case you missed it, comedian Katt Williams started the year off with a bang.
During her appearance on the “Shay Shay Club” podcast, Williams swept several comedians. Steve Harvey, Kevin Hart and Cedric the Entertainer are just a few of the people who Friday after the nextthe star continued.
Many of the reactions to the viral interview were supportive of Williams, but not everyone was a fan. His fellow comedian Dave Chappelle apparently does not support Williams. While Chappelle was not one of the comedians Williams criticized, he still took issue with his comments on a recent show.
“He only uses Ethered niggas. He didn’t say anything about any of these white boys. …What part of the game ruins another black man’s newspaper? Chappelle said.
Perhaps the biggest celebrity Williams brought to attention was comedian Kevin Hart. Hart has been in the industry for a while. However, he really came into prominence after his Comedy Central stand-up special, “I’m a Grown Little Man,” in 2009.
From there his career took off and he became one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Williams, however, accused the Philadelphia native of being an industrial plant.
“He already had his deals when he got here! Have we heard of a comedian who came to Los Angeles and, in his first year in Los Angeles, he had his own sitcom on a network television and his own movie called ‘Soul Plane’ that he directed? No, we had never heard of that before or after that person,” Williams said on the podcast.
“What do you think a plant is? Maybe people don’t understand the definition of these words.”
After Williams’ chilling comments about Hart, fans were hoping for a response from the star comedian. Fox News’ Kevin McCarthy asked Hart about the interview. However, the comedian said it was not something worth entertaining.
“The circus is not entertained. You see it. When a lion goes out and rides a bike, you don’t think too much about it. You’re just like, ‘Okay, that’s crazy.’ The lion rides a bicycle. And then you go home and enjoy the rest of the day,” Hart said.
“Satan cannot create anything. That includes blessings for his people. So, do you know what the number one job is of someone who sold their soul in Hollywood? “It’s acting as if it didn’t happen.”
