Early Life
Danny Ferry was born on the 17th of October 1966, in Hyattsville, Maryland, the United States of America. According to his date of birth, he is 56 years old and holds American nationality. In addition, he has a birth sign of Libra and belongs to the North American ethnicity. Meanwhile, his religious belief is still a mystery and his birth name is Daniel John Willard Ferry.

Cleveland Cavaliers
He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers for a total of eight seasons throughout his NBA career. He played for the Cavaliers from 1989 to 1993, and then again from 1995 to 2000. During his time with the team, Ferry played in 723 games and averaged 7.9 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
He was also a part of the Cavaliers team that reached the NBA playoffs six times during his tenure, including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1992.
San Antonio Spurs
Later, he played for the San Antonio Spurs for one season during his NBA career. He was acquired by the Spurs in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers before the start of the 2000-2001 season. Ferry played in 80 games for the Spurs that season, averaging 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 43.5% from three-point range.

The Spurs advanced to the NBA playoffs that season but were eliminated in the first round. After the season, Ferry became a free agent and signed with the Portland Trail Blazers, but he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks before the start of the 2001-2002 season and was subsequently waived by the team. Moreover, he announced his retirement in 2003.
Management career
After leaving the Cavaliers, he spent a year as a consultant for the Spurs before being named the General Manager of the Atlanta Hawks in 2012. He held that position for four seasons and was named the NBA Executive of the Year in 2015 after overseeing a team that won a franchise-record 60 games and advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Most recently, he was named the interim General Manager of the New Orleans Pelicans in March 2021, where he currently oversees the team’s basketball operations.

He was a two-time All-American at Duke University and was named the Naismith College Player of the Year in 1989, as a player.
