Danny Ferry was born on the 17th of October 1966, in Hyattsville, Maryland, the United States of America. According to his date of birth, he is 56 years old and holds American nationality. Ferry played in 80 games for the Spurs that season, averaging 5.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 43.5% from three-point range.

The Spurs advanced to the NBA playoffs that season but were eliminated in the first round. After the season, Ferry became a free agent and signed with the Portland Trail Blazers, but he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks before the start of the 2001-2002 season and was subsequently waived by the team. Management career

After leaving the Cavaliers, he spent a year as a consultant for the Spurs before being named the General Manager of the Atlanta Hawks in 2012.
