There’s a lot of drama on the beach in Bachelor in Paradise Season 8. Many couple dynamics were formed and ultimately broken, as viewers watched with Michael and Sierra. Despite the latter’s complete commitment, Michael ended their relationship for reasons related to previous trauma. However, after Sierra kicks him out of the house, he meets newcomer Danielle Maltby and builds a deep bond with her.
As Michael and Danielle prepare to take the next step in their relationship, Danielle and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s recent statement about Sierra on their podcast has sparked outrage among viewers. Sierra also tweeted images of direct messages from fans of the exchange, in which the women called Sierra not by name but with the words “how’s her face?” Kaitlyn apologized for her inappropriate actions earlier this week, while Danielle apologized to Sierra for her words. In an interview with US Weekly, she said:
“I just wanted to apologize for hurting your feelings.” I mean, I wasn’t there for the whole relationship. Everything was settled when I arrived and I didn’t need to talk about it.”
“My feelings are real,” Sierra said of Bachelor in Paradise duo Michael and Danielle’s comments.
While many of the hopeful singles who appeared on Season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise found love instantly, others are still experimenting. On the beach, Michael and Sierra make love. While Sierra was devoted to the relationship and even gave him a constellation, Michael decided to end the relationship because he was still grieving the death of his late wife Laura.
Sierra then removed herself from the show, soon followed by an appearance by Danielle Maltby on the beach. She and Michael dated and became emotionally close, which angered viewers who believed that Michael didn’t use the same excuse when hooking up with Danielle. After Bachelor in Paradise ended, the pair spoke on the US Weekly podcast and discussed what happened to Sierra. Michael said he wanted to let her know as soon as he found out that they weren’t on the same page. On the other hand, Slavni feels that he can express himself better.
According to Michael:
“I really stumbled because I couldn’t explain myself the way she deserved, you know, I let her know she wasn’t the right person for me.” And I should have ended it that way.”
The Bachelor in Paradise star went on to say:
“So I apologized for that, and I apologized to her at the reunion. And I wish her all the best. I’m sure he’ll find love. She’s a great person and now we’re really worried about ourselves.”

For her part, Danielle apologized to Sierra on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s Off the Vine podcast for not calling her name. She had a seizure after telling Sierra “how’s her face?” The second tweeted footage of direct fan messages and chastised the two women for their actions. Sierra states:
“Just to be clear, I got over it and I got over Michael. This confused me as to why I was the subject of their discussion. People who always tell you to “get over it”… It’s funny because I was in a relationship. But over 40 years old and hate a 27 year old man also have your man? Thank. My feelings are justified.”
Danielle apologized to Sierra and expressed her best wishes on US Weekly. She stated:
“And I just want the best for her, and I’m excited to continue my relationship with Michael.”
Kaitlyn Bristowe has apologized for her podcast comment. The single girl said she was “really regretful”, reflected on her behavior and sent Sierra a personal message. However, the latter noted that it was difficult to accept Kaitlyn’s apology as it was “only deserved after she was called out.”
