With the current series of the same name, Starz is ready to dive into the latest version of Pierre Choderlos de Laclos’ dangerous 1782 classic. The story has been adapted several times, including Stephen Frears’ hit 1988 film starring John Malkovich and Glenn Close, and will be breathed new life in Harriet Warner’s version of Starz.
The series will depict a story of revenge, lust and destruction set in pre-revolutionary French high society, where a toxic feud between two loves has claimed countless lives all over the world. Starz released the trailer for the first season of Dangerous Relationships about two months ago. Camille (Alice Englert) and Pascal Valmont, two lovers, are introduced in the trailer (Nicholas Denton). The clip shows the relentless venom between lovers as they hesitate to surrender completely to their passion for each other, forcing them to perform unimaginable acts and destroy many hearts.
