While Bialik relies on his game program accommodation skills, playing a contestant Danger! It’s another story.
Recently, the co-host and Big Bang Theory The star confessed that he does not have much confidence in his abilities as Danger! contestant, as reported FoxNews.
While it’s easy for viewers to assume that Bialik could eliminate the competition as a contestant, she humbly disagrees. “The knowledge I have is not necessarily ‘Jeopardy!’ knowledge,” she explained in the Random Club with Bill Maher podcast.
The co-host received a doctorate-level education, but said the knowledge to excel on the game show is “different.”
Bialik continued: “There are categories, like, obviously I have a scientific background. I can feel pretty confident about science categories. I’m a crossword puzzle person, so there are categories of crossword puzzles. I’m a Hebrew and Jewish studies major, so anything in that area.”
Bialik revealed to Maher how people often ask him if he knows the answers to all the questions he asks contestants. Danger! The surprising answer? “No.”
“No. First of all, answering things like that under pressure with a stopwatch is not going to happen for me,” he told Maher. “It’s hard!”
The co-host then explained the psychological aspect of the game and told Maher about the “rhythm” in which winners fall. “If you get something wrong, it can be debilitating. “I think I would cry,” Bialik said.
The future of Danger!
A lot has changed since Bialik and Ken Jennings took over hosting duties for the game show in 2020; in particular, the pause in the game’s production amid the recent WGA strike.
As reported by executive producer Michael Davies in the Inside Danger! Podcast, during the strikes, the show was forced to recycle both old materials and contestants.
Bialik, an active participant in the strikes, explained to vanity fair, “There is a lot of complexity in this, but my general statement is always that I come from a union family. “My grandparents were immigrants who worked in sweatshops and my parents were public school teachers.”
“While it is not my place to personally judge anyone’s decision, for me I am a supporter of unions, almost all unions and what they fight for. I believe in that system even if it is not perfect. “I believe in education about why people strike and what they do it for,” he added.
A new season of Danger! It is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2024.
