‘Danger!’ Competitor Reveals What ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Outfit Looks Like When ‘Jeopardy!’ is filming

Danger! contestants are always ready to give fans of the game show a behind-the-scenes peek, and gamer David Maes was no exception! In a Reddit post, Maes gave viewers some details about what happens when the cameras aren’t rolling, including what it’s like to watch the show from the green room, also known as the Wheel of Fortune place!

maes was not there Danger! for a long time, losing his only game to multi-day champion Troy Meyer. Losing didn’t spoil the fun for Maes though, as he demonstrated in a lengthy post about his time on the game show.

He called Meyer “even more likable in person than he already appears on screen” and praised the show’s entire team for being “among the best in the business.” Maes also provided aspiring contestants with some tips on how to pass the time once they lose a game.

“I highly recommend staying in the green room (also known as the Wheel of Fortune stage) after his game; Watching, commenting and cheering on the games live with other contestants was great,” Maes wrote.

He went on to explain that the Danger! the contestants go to the studio where Wheel of Fortune it is filmed and watched from the audience seats. “The stage (where the WoF and the wheel is) it’s pretty dark and off limits,” Maes shared. “There is a conspicuous sign that says DO NOT TOUCH THE WHEEL.”

“There’s a live broadcast of the Jeopardy stage on several monitors, and since they can’t hear us, we yell ‘DO IT!’ to the screens to entice the other contestants to look for real daily doubles,” she laughed.

Maes also explained how to sit on the Wheel of Fortune soundstage is so much more fun than sitting on the Danger! studio audience, writing, “After our game, we had the choice of going to the audience (where you sit politely) or back to the green room (where you can yell responses to triple hits and Final Jeopardy with new friends).”

While I was sitting in the Danger! listening while the contestants play might sound cool, Maes’ Reddit post revealed that there’s a lot more behind-the-scenes fun on a very different game show.
