Cynthia Erivo has booked another new role in the movie!
The 36-year-old actress will star in Prima faciewhich is an adaptation of the play of the same name, according to Variety.

The outlet reports that the film, which Cynthia will also executive produce, “tells the propulsive story of ambitious and confident defense attorney Tessa.”
“Of working-class roots, the rising star in London’s powerful legal system skillfully defends her clients, including those accused of sexual assault. But after a colleague of hers rapes her, she discovers that the law does not dispense justice within the bounds of consent,” her description reads.
Cynthia shared a statement about her participation, saying: “I am delighted to join Suzie, Susanna, Participant, Bunya and the rest of the team on this journey. Tessa’s experience casts such a vulnerable light on the complex conversations around consent and sexual abuse and the law surrounding it, that it’s all too relatable for many and timely for all.”
Susanna White will direct, with Suzie Miller adapting the script for the screen.
