Dallas Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott usually enjoys a much-needed rest during the NFL offseason. But that won’t be the case this year. Dak and his girlfriend Sara Jane Ramos welcomed a baby girl into their lives last week. Dak says both mom and baby are healthy, but he admits he feels “different.”
“Yes, I feel different,” he said. “Especially when you wake up in the morning, you see that baby and you understand the responsibilities of him. Everything I’ve ever wanted for myself, but wanting it for someone else even more. Is special. “The baby is doing great, the mom is doing great, everyone is healthy and at home and we are blessed.”
While Prescott is willing to take on several of the responsibilities of fatherhood, changing diapers is not one of them. When reporters asked him how many diapers he had changed since baby MJ was born, he responded:
“Just a handful. I changed the first one, then two or three after that, then I try to pass that work on.”
Dak Prescott tans for new look
The birth of his daughter wasn’t the only reason Dak was in the news this week. The Cowboys star recently went viral on Twitter. Dak’s hairstylist, Abel the Barber, posted Dak’s new haircut on Instagram.
He lit up in the comments section.
“His hair is as long as his playoffs,” one user wrote.
“It’s better to shave yourself instead of maintaining a male pattern bald hairstyle,” another user added.
“He’s that guy at the cookout who always talks about his glory days on the field… even though he never played,” said another.
“His new hairstyle has a playoff success story…not much there,” wrote another.
Cowboys legend gets honest about Prescott
Dak has guided the Cowboys through incredible regular seasons. But when it comes to the playoffs, the Cowboys quarterback continually falls short. This season the Cowboys were annihilated by the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs after winning the division with a 12-5 record.
There were questions about whether Prescott could ever lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. But Cowboys legend Troy Aikman says he still has faith in him.
“I still believe in Dak,” Aikman said. “I feel like until you do it, there’s always that criticism. Peyton Manning heard that in his first three years (he didn’t win a playoff game) and then you look back on it and you can’t imagine anyone would question whether or not he could win a playoff game.”
