Conor McGregor is a former Irish professional mixed martial artist and boxer. He is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) featherweight and lightweight champion. On 23 November 2020, Conor was ranked 12th in the UFC men’s pound-for-pound rankings, and on 14 December 2020, he was ranked 5th in the UFC lightweight rankings. McGregor is known as an aggressive striker and prefers to fight while standing.

Conor Anthony McGregor was born on Thursday, 14 July 1988 (age 32 years; as in 2020) in Crumlin, Dublin, Ireland. His zodiac sign is Cancer. Conor McGregor aka Notorious. McGregor was on a winning streak and looking to become the first UFC dual-weight champion by competing for the UFC Lightweight Championship at UFC 196 on March 5, 2016. McGregor was scheduled to fight against Rafael dos Anjos, but he withdrew from the fight on February 23 with a broken leg. Many competitors were asked to come forward for the fight but no one was ready to fight in such a short time. Finally, The Ultimate Fighter Season 5 winner and former UFC Lightweight Championship contender Nate Diaz stepped up to fight McGregor. The fight ended at 4 minutes and 12 seconds after McGregor was submitted to a rear-naked choke by Nate Diaz. Both of them won “Fight of the Night” bonuses for their performances. A rematch was scheduled for May 2016, and McGregor won the match via majority decision. The fight broke records and became the best-selling pay-per-view fight in UFC history with approximately 1.65 million buys.

- On 10 November 2017, McGregor attacked the referee, Mark Goddard, during a fight between SBG Ireland’s player, Charlie Ward, and John Redmond at Bellator 187. Ward knocked out Redmond and McGregor jumped off the cage and entered the ring to celebrate Ward’s victory. The fight was officially over. When he was asked to leave the ring, he attacked the referee.
- In April 2018, McGregor attacked Khabib Nurmagomedov as he was boarding a bus to leave Barclays Center Arena for UFC 223. McGregor ran to the back of the bus and threw a piece of metal equipment at the bus window. UFC fighters Chiesa and Borg were injured by broken glass and sent to a nearby hospital. An arrest warrant was issued for McGregor and his associates for the attack. Later, McGregor was charged with assault, criminal mischief, dangerous, reckless conduct. He was released on $50,000 bail, and afterward, he performed five days of community service and had to attend anger management classes.
- On 6 October 2018, Khabib Nurmagomedov jumped into the ring to attack Conor McGregor’s training partner Dillon Danis. Soon, McGregor and Khabib’s cousin, Abubakar, also tried to get out of the octagon, but ended up fighting each other. In response, the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) withheld Khabib’s payment for the fight and filed a formal complaint against McGregor and Khabib.
