Coffey Anderson was born on Friday, December 15, 1978 (age 42 years; as of 2020), and hails from Bangs, Texas, in the United States. He graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. During his college days, he used to borrow a guitar from his then girlfriend’s father to learn chords and sing. In 2002, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue music.

Coffey Anderson was fond of singing since childhood and used to sing in the church choir. During his college days, he created a stir among his fellow students as his singing attracted them to come and listen. Later, he began performing country music in local opening slots for bands and gospel music, a genre of Christian music, in local churches. In 2003, Coffey Anderson made his television debut with the American singing competition television series, American Idol, in which he achieved no apparent success.
In 2008, he was third runner-up on the American reality television singing competition, Nashville Star.
Although the show helped him gain a loyal fan base, it did not earn him any deals from music recording companies. On December 21, 2013, he joined YouTube and started producing his own content. Anderson became popular through his YouTube videos where he sings original songs as well as live renditions of his own compositions. He tours extensively across the country for stage concerts, church and public events, performances at fairs, rodeos, live concerts and shows. - Coffey Anderson grew up in a farming community in central Texas where they raised goats. His mother used to sing in church. He was born in an Orthodox Christian family and also sang in a church choir. In an interview he said,
