Everyone defecates. In fact, this is a lesson Tori Spelling’s 7-year-old son learned hands-on by watching his mother in the bathroom.
On Monday Spelling error On the podcast, Spelling revealed to listeners that during her 18-year marriage to Dean McDermott, she has never experienced a moment of privacy. The actress claims that she can’t even go to the bathroom alone.
Spelling clarified that she previously handled her personal affairs in the presence of her husband. However, after separating from her, she now subjects her children to her bowel movements. Gentlemen pretenders, take note!
“First it was Dean, then it was the kids,” Spelling explained. She and McDermott are the parents of five children: Liam, 17; Stela, 15; Hattie, 12 years old; Finnish, 11; and Beau, 7.

“Beau still stands there, looking at me and talking to me while I’m pooping,” she admitted. “I think I function better with people.” Tori Spelling seems self-aware enough to know that having her kids watch her peel off the wallpaper might be too much.
“Is that codependent?” Spelling wondered aloud before adding, “Yes. Cool.”
The revelation came after the actress reflected on the advice she received that she should “find happiness… alone.” She and McDermott ended their relationship in June 2023 after a fierce argument that resulted in Spelling throwing a loaded baked potato. Despite this, the ’90s star did not proceed to file for divorce until March. She chronicled the moment she informed McDermott of her decision live on her podcast.
Spelling confirmed compliance with the “formality” during a call with McDermott, expressing his love before ending the conversation. Although his part of the conversation was not broadcast, Spelling claimed that he said, “I have a lawyer. “I was going to do this, but great, yeah, I save $500.”
The couple married in 2006 and began expanding their family the following year.
Meanwhile, McDermott has begun a new chapter with Lily Calo. On Monday, Spelling openly admitted his fondness for McDermott’s new partner and said he likes him “a lot.” Despite this, he has not avoided referring to her ex as “baby” in Calo’s presence during family meals.
“I thought, ‘What am I supposed to call him? Dean?’” she wondered aloud. “I haven’t called him Dean in 18 years. He is very strange,” he admitted.
It is unknown if Lily Calo forces McDermott to watch her defecate in the bathroom like Tori Spelling did.
