Omi Vaidya is an Indian-American actor. He is famous for his work in Bollywood films. He gained recognition for the role of ‘Chatur Ramalingam’ in the film ‘3 Idiots’ (2009).

Omi Vaidya started his acting career with his first film ‘Rolling’ (2007), in which he played the role of ‘Asar’. His role as “Chatur Ramalingam” or “The Silencer” in the film ‘3 Idiots’ (2009) was one of his most acclaimed performances. In an interview, Omi told that he was on a trip to Mumbai when he auditioned for the film ‘3 Idiots’.
When I was planning my trip back to America, a friend of mine who was associated with 3 Idiots told me about a role for which they were auditioning NRI actors. Considering that I don’t speak Hindi or watch Bollywood movies, I had no interest in auditioning. On top of that, this role had not even been written yet. In the audition, I had to recite lines from the film Lage Raho Munna Bhai. I was very bold and careless while saying the lines because I didn’t think I was going to get this role. I was offered the role when I was driving home from the audition.
In 2011, he acted in films like ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’, in which he played the role of ‘Milind Kelkar’.
He appeared in the film ‘Desi Boyz’ (2011) in which he played the role of ‘Ajay’. Omi has done films like ‘Players’ (2012), ‘Jodi Breakers’ (2012), ‘Mirror Game’ (2017), ‘Blackmail’ (2018) and many more. In 2023, he played the role of a ‘scientist’ in the US-Bangladesh joint venture action thriller film ‘MR-9: Do or Die’.

Omi made his acting debut in the American television industry with his first TV series titled ‘The Office’ (2005), in which he played the role of ‘Sadiq’.
