He became famous around the world with his roles in the films “Matlock”, “Walker, Texas Ranger” and “Die Hard”. He made his film debut as Junior Lieutenant Marcus “Sundown” Williams in 1986’s “Top Gun” and on television as Frank Simpson / The Student in two episodes of “Diff’rent Strokes” in 1981.

During his adolescence he lived in the San Bernardino suburb of Rialto, California, and graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1974. He played football in college and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He received a tennis scholarship, but dropped out before graduating.
