Christopher Briney opens up about his big new film role in the upcoming Bad Girls musical.
He Summer I became pretty The star plays Aaron Samuels in the new musical film adaptation and, in a new interview, revealed that he almost didn’t audition for it.
He also shared that his version of the character does not sing, unlike Aaron Samuels’ Broadway version.

“I got an audition for this movie in my inbox in September 2022, and they said, you know, ‘There’s two scenes and then we shoot like 16 bars,’ and I was like, ‘I’m fine, thanks guys.’ . It’s a great project, but I don’t sing,’” she shared with E.W..
“Then he came back and there was no audition requirement to sing, and I said, let’s go,” she added.
In the Broadway version, Aaron Samuels has featured singing roles in at least three songs, including “Stupid With Love (Reprise),” “Someone Gets Hurt,” and “More Is Better,” but Christopher was relieved not to have to sing.
“I felt really good about it,” he said. “I don’t want to do that to people. And I do not know. I think if I worked on it, if someone gave me some training, I would be fine. But it is also very different. The level at which people sing in this movie is not something you can just grasp. “They were born to do that and I was not born to do that.”
Previously, Christopher had to sing a song in the second season of his Prime Video series The summer I became pretty and noted that he was stressed about singing because he is not a singer.
Earlier this year, Tina Fey, who has written all three versions of Bad Girlstalked about how the songs in the film will be different from those in the Broadway show.
